Hello Friends of the Band, My name is Dorothy Franklin, and I am the Corporate Donations Chair of The Woodlands High School Band Booster Club. Our success is possible because of band families, band friends, community leaders and businesses, such as you. THANK YOU for your financial support of our program!!! I am asking for your help in securing monetary donations to the band this year. As an avid supporter of the band, you are already aware of the wonderful honors and achievements of The Woodlands High School Band. You know that we are headed to Indianapolis in November 2011 for the Bands of America National Grand Championships. You will also remember that we brought home an incredible 7th place trophy in 2009, and plan to place even higher in the rankings with our exciting new marching show “Uninvited”, where 300 band students will play a visually stimulating and audibly interesting game of musical chairs on the field, while pleasing the senses with a beautiful musical score set to precision moves. Wow!! These wonderful opportunities and successes come at a cost, both financially, and through an overwhelming commitment from the kids, parents, directors, band staff, band boosters, and many others.
